Note: Before using the advanced setup steps below, please try the simple connection method first. In most cases, two controllers can be connected without manual configuration. If the simple method does not work, follow this guide to connect them.

The RGPad02 is a wireless controller designed to work with compatible AISLPC handheld consoles. By connecting its wireless receiver to the console, you can use two RGPad02 controllers for local multiplayer gaming.

It is ideal for fighting, racing, arcade, sports, and cooperative games. This guide explains how to connect two RGPad02 wireless controllers and assign them to Player 1 and Player 2.

What You Need

Before beginning, prepare the following:

  • A compatible AISLPC handheld console
  • Two RGPad02 wireless controllers
  • The RGPad02 wireless receiver
  • A game that supports local two-player gameplay

Please note that not every game supports two players. Choose a game that includes a local multiplayer, versus, co-op, or two-player mode.

Step 1: Connect the Receiver to the Handheld Console

Insert the RGPad02 wireless receiver into the Type-C port of your AISLPC handheld console.

Make sure the receiver is fully inserted. If the connection is loose, the console may not detect the controllers correctly.

Step 2: Launch a Two-Player Game

Select and launch a game that supports local two-player gameplay.

Common multiplayer modes include:

  • Two Players
  • Local Multiplayer
  • Versus
  • Co-op
  • Player 1 vs. Player 2

Some games may run normally but only support one player. Confirm that the selected game includes a two-player mode before configuring the controllers.

Step 3: Turn On Both RGPad02 Wireless Controllers

Press the START button on each RGPad02 wireless controller to turn it on and connect it to the wireless receiver.

Repeat this step for both controllers.

After turning them on, press a directional or function button to confirm that both controllers have connected successfully.

Step 4: Open the Settings Menu

After entering the game, press the left analog stick and right analog stick at the same time.

Then press the B button once to open the settings menu.

Pressing both analog sticks opens the menu. It does not turn on the controller. To turn on the RGPad02 controller, press the START button.

Step 5: Open the Input Settings

In the menu on the left side of the screen, select the second option:

Settings

Next, select the fourth option from the list on the right:

Input

Open the Input settings page.

Step 6: Open RetroPad Binds

On the Input page, select the first option:

RetroPad Binds

This section allows you to assign a different controller to each player.

Step 7: Configure the Controller for Player 1

Select:

Port 1 Controls

Port 1 represents Player 1.

Inside Port 1 Controls, find:

Device Index

Open Device Index and select the first RGPad02 wireless controller from the device list.

The selected controller will now be assigned to Player 1.

Step 8: Save the Player 1 Controller Profile

After selecting the first controller, press the B button once to return to the previous page.

Then select:

Save Controller Profile

This saves the controller settings for Player 1 and helps prevent the configuration from being lost after leaving the menu.

Step 9: Configure the Controller for Player 2

Return to the RetroPad Binds page and select:

Port 2 Controls

Port 2 represents Player 2.

Inside Port 2 Controls, find:

Device Index

Open Device Index and select the second RGPad02 wireless controller.

Make sure that Port 1 and Port 2 are assigned to different controllers. If both ports use the same device, both controllers may control Player 1, or Player 2 may not respond.

Step 10: Save the Player 2 Controller Profile

After selecting the second controller, press the B button once to return.

Then select:

Save Controller Profile

Once the profile has been saved, exit the settings menu and return to the game.

The two RGPad02 wireless controllers should now be assigned separately to Player 1 and Player 2.

Complete Controller Setup Paths

Player 1

Settings → Input → RetroPad Binds → Port 1 Controls → Device Index → Select the First Controller → Save Controller Profile

Player 2

Settings → Input → RetroPad Binds → Port 2 Controls → Device Index → Select the Second Controller → Save Controller Profile

After completing both configurations, exit the menu and return to the game.

How to Confirm That Both Controllers Are Working

After returning to the game, follow these steps:

  1. Use the first controller to navigate the game menu and confirm that it controls Player 1.
  2. Press a directional button or the START button on the second controller.
  3. Select the game’s two-player, versus, or co-op mode.
  4. Test both controllers and confirm that they control different players.

Some arcade games require Player 2 to press the START button before joining.
